early signs of winter

sneaking for a quick blog. In my office now and i have tons of work to do. Was 18 degrees in the morning, made me inspired to wear fall wear. Unfortunately it comes at around 25 degrees still during lunch time, but who cares. Everyone else is wearing thigh high boots, i cant do that cause its too hot.

Speaking of thigh high boots, the fashion industry just cant think of anything else new. Not that i have anything against it, soon the fad will be a pair of neck - high boots.

Anyway, this is my outfit for today. Turtle neck top and black tulip skirt. Just got my opaque pull ups yesterday and its just great. Oh yes and my pair of mary janes from kurt g. (Coach took the photo while holding a cereal bowl in his left hand)

Okay, going back to my work now, preparing this cost benefit analysis report that is due on Thursday.

hi there! Im sorry ive been out for so long! I am enslaved at work at the moment and i didnt have the time to blog! Yes, Ive been missing in action.

Finally i had the time to go out last thursday night. It wasnt much of a party, just wanted to give my support to the 77th street productions group. They have organized a fashion show for a sri lankan fashion design student DIMI.

Clothes were perfect for clubwear, all slutty and short hahaha. No comment on some of the models. (zipped shut mouth)

Wore a black pekpek skirt dress from Forever 21 and spring super high heels shoes. Still not high enough to be as tall as Tanya.

Mini Chicken Meat loaves with baked potatoes and boiled cheesy veggies

Got the recipe from the net (forgot where is it from) just googling low fat baked dishes. found an interesting recipe that would probably satisfy my fam's dinner cravings.

I was right! they loved it!

email or message me if you want the recipe. I lost the copied recipe in Spinneys so I had to try and remember whats in it and what are the proportions.

feeling artsy fartsy after dirtying my hands with charcoal pastel. this is all i came up with for my outfit.
black chiffon blouse from H&M, skinny denims from stradicarius (my reliable pair), and ankle boots from bershka. added on a red printed scarf from h&m. cant wait for winter weather, we are all deprived of winter clothes. the bracelet i am wearing was from dragon mart, got it with a matching necklace for only AED 30! Dragon mart is one of the best shopping places ive ever been to in Dubai. You can haggle to the max. Even bought push bikes for 250. No credit cards though.

and of course had to include my personal camera lady. the woman behind my samsum digicam. Lynn. She is the only one patient enough to take my shots every day. Hope she never runs out of that patience.

i love what she is wearing today. So classic but chic. She got that wrap around waist belt fro AED 2 in H&M. A real Bargain hunter.

trying to cut down on parties, ive got backlogs of house work!! Life again is back to my home, family and work. I dont really dress up much at home so i exercise my wardrobe at work!

Sorry i havent really been posting much for have been extremely busy.... Been addicted to this new thing, which i will be posting later on...

Here are some work outfits worn this past 2 weeks. Shots are taken in the Ladies so its yellowish.

This is just a black loose H&M shirt tucked in my Neu Look Pencil skirt, covered by a large waist brown belt by Zara. This belt is a new favorite, it makes me look slimmer.
Shoes is by Charles and Keith.

thursday is my fave day of the week !! And this is my comfy thursday look. Zipper Dress by Splash, scarf by 21 for love, leggings from ZARA which i got a long time ago. Shoes by Shoemart.

When I saw you, i thought i just had a crush on you.. but when i tried you on, i fell in love immediately! I grabbed my digi cam to take a shot of you so I can remember you (till i get my salary), but i forgot the bl**dy memory card in my laptop :( this made me feel so sad. I hope i wont think about you again for this is just plain torture, because i really want you and i really really really want you!!!!!

malling saturday

its a lovely saturday morning had brekkie with the family. went to MOTE ( as my son calls it , Mall Of The Emirates) to get a few stuff for the week.... SIGH. Good life. Just a bit worried about something backhome. Hope he recovers soon. It was alarming last night when i heard about it.....praying for his recovery.....

Anyway, as this is supposed to be a fashion blog... this is my saturday mall outfit. My very own, cabinet room dress, paired up with a black waist belt ( im not sure where i got this from) and a long chained leaves necklace from 21 for Love. Slippers are from Debenhams which i got a long time ago and of course, everything goes well with a Fendi.

That's my outfit for the day and lets see how i would feel like wearing my work wear! Im just wishing it'll be cold soon so i can get my box of winter clothes!

But later that afternoon we went riding (bike riding) so i had to change to my blue singlet and black mini shorts and havaiana flipflops. Sorry no photo, couldnt be bothered :P

Sharing affordable good food - Galler

Normally, fridays we just stay at home but this time Coach decided to treat us to this wonderful place in Wafi Mall called Galler. There is not much people around. probably 3 tables were filled in plus us. Its a chocolatier and they serve lunch. Guess how much? AED 40 for an entree, main course, dessert ( lovely lovely dessert) and your choice of coffee or tea. Beverage not included.

I got onion soup for entree,its alright. Main was Goat Cheese Salad - Superb SUperb Salad!!! It was just great and i enjoyed it to the maximum degree. Well at first it was scary to order it cause when I asked the order what's in it, he said there is a goat in the salad with green veggies!! hahaha. He meant goat cheese cause we was too nervous to answer my question. Don't get me wrong they were all courteous and very attentive but one waiter didnt know whats in the dish. Maybe he gt intimidated.
ANyway, for Dessert, I had milk chocolate crepe, hubby dark chocolate crepes, and son had 2 scoops of homemade ice cream. It was a beautiful experience, thinking that I am on a diet ( forever). Guess i have to skip that diet after the main course!

YOu should try it. AED40 is really worth it. It is located in the Wafi Mall in the new wing, ground floor.

celebrating the weekend with cashews, brie and red. 1113pm my son asleep in his room and my hubby glued to his blackberry. nice way to spend the weekend ( this is sarcastic). munching on cashews and brie and gurgling it down with a glass of red.

back from my leave on a Thursday, i was thinking maybe ill just go casual and wear denims and a normal vintage tee. Of course I didnt. Got this top from my very own The Cabinet Room and the skirt by H&M (just got t last monday!)
Shoes by my ever reliable pair of Kenneth Cole!

Work will never be the same unless you feel good inside first! Like I said, price and brand does not matter. My top from the Cabinet Room is worth AED 65 only (check out the Cabinet Room website at http://thecabinetroom.multiply.com) and my skirt is AED 90 from H&M.

When i was young, i always play dress up. While doing that, as a prop, I put a shirt above my head, tie it as if that shirt is my long hair! When i go to the shops, just near our house, i dress up. Some people dont understand why, they say im crazy or just plain wierd.

So today, i woke up having the same problem everyday of my work life, stating these familiar phrases such as ... "what will i wear?" or " i have nothing to wear!" ..even if you have 7 million clothes in front of you.

I dress myself up, not mainly because of the trend thats in, but mainly basing on how the look makes me feel. I dont buy designer wear anymore ( i have nothing against that( its just that at some point of time , we have to be practical. However, practicality does not mean we just wear plain tees and denims.... practicality means we could still pull of something simple and make it look great!!!

My look for the day. ( i really thought that stockings would work today, it didnt. Its bl**dy hot!)
I just got excited that the first signs of coolness (6am) made me want to wear fall wear!

Woke up at 530 am to prepare everything for the crew, clean the toilets, coffee trays, brekkie.... on a Friday early morning. It's all about the dedication. This is my new life (aside from my hubby, son and 2 cats)... The Cabinet Room, 77th Street Productions, FMO and Warehouse has been around me since July and been working with them ever since.

This is our photoshoot for the Cabinet Room. The crew consisted of 3 professional photographers Kit Belen, Mariyah Gaspacho and Cristina Linaza.. and 1 make up artist and stylist, Anna De Leon
